Descriptions of Class Subjects
The aim of all our classes is to encourage personal development and confidence through dance. All classes are streamed and structured to ensure students are working to their own limits and ability and to inspire all students, through improvisation to develop their own style whilst being techinically sound.
BALLET
Ballet is the foundation of all dance. We recommend all students to attend a
ballet class to help develop good technique and improved posture.
TAP
Tap dancing is all about rhythm. We teach various styles and routines to enable pupils to develop a wide range of style.
MODERN DANCE
Aims to teach pupils to communicate through movement in an expressive and artistic way. It helps to increase suppleness and physical ability
HIGHLAND
Scotlands's traditional national dance. Helps students to gain good stamina
and dedication to detail. This subject is a very technical form of dance and is
a must for all things scottish!
DISCO
This is a fun, energitic and funky form of dance. Not as technically based as
other forms of dance but a real favourite with students. Good for flexibility.
DRAMA
The aim of this class is to encourage personal interpretation and to insprire students to develop their presentation skills and confidence. Includes characterisation, voice production, script reading and improvisation
